Metrological to Host another Virtual Lightning Development Training in June

June 1, 2020

Metrological is excited to announce it will host its second virtual Lightning Development Training — from June 8-12, 2020.

Virtual Lightning Training

Metrological Lightning is a TV app development framework that ensures apps perform extremely well. With Lightning, TV viewers experience content at its best. Metrological has contributed Lightning to the full open source community, and it is adopted by RDK as well as leading Tier 1 operators. Apps developed in Lightning run on all set-top boxes and major smart TV platforms.

The 5-day virtual Lightning Development Trainings will enable you to learn the advanced use cases of Lightning to build better and more visually interesting apps and improve the overall quality of products delivered.

The training will start with an introduction into Lightning, the SDK, and CLI. You will learn about adding new elements, the media player, sprites, lazy loading patterns, memory and more. Each day starts with one hour of training via Teams. Then, it is time to get hands-on with Lightning by working on a total of five assignments, with trainers on-hand to answer any questions.

Training will be held on:
June 8-12, 2020 - starting daily at 10.00am EDT (UTC -4)

Cost is €400 per attendee; and participants should have embedded development experience and up-to-date knowledge of Javascript (at least ES5).
